PROCESSING PURPOSES
BA N.V. collects and processes personal data for various purposes in various applications and situations. This privacy statement contains all storage and processing of personal data within the organization, neatly broken down per application.
We hold the privacy of our customers, prospects and partners in high regard and here you will find the exact description of what we do with this data, what the legal basis for this is and how long we keep it.
Website
The following personal data of all visitors to the website is stored and processed:
- The internet address of each visitor is stored in the log files of the website. The legal basis for this is a legitimate interest to be able to efficiently detect, block and debug problems and/or hacking attacks on the website. The log files and associated personal data are only kept for 3 months and then deleted.
- When someone uses the web forms to request more information, ask a question or ask to be contacted, we only use this data to answer your question, to contact you and to follow up on everything. The legal basis for this is a legitimate interest to be able to answer your question. We keep your data for up to 1 year after the last contact.
- No cookies or other techniques from third parties are used within the website to follow or trace visitors.
- Our website uses a number of types of cookies:

- Functional cookies
- Functional cookies are cookies that facilitate the functioning of our website and make it more pleasant for the visitor and ensure that you get a more personalized surfing experience. Customers and prospects
BA N.V. collects and processes personal data from our customers and prospects for:
- Prospecting and Customer Relationship Management;
- Customer and order management, among others
- Customer administration
- Follow-up of orders/deliveries
- Invoicing
- Technical support / support and follow-up
- Maintenance and documentation of existing systems that are under a support contract;
- Execution of contracts and orders
- Keeping customers informed of important changes in our company and product range
The legal grounds for this processing are based on Article 6.1 of the General Data Protection Regulation:
- Necessity for the execution of an agreement
- Necessity to comply with a legal obligation (e.g. invoicing, VAT, etc.)
- Pursuit of a legitimate interest to conduct business
Customer data is kept for a maximum of 7 years after the last contact and the expiry of all contractual agreements and is then deleted. Data from prospects is kept for a maximum of 1 year after the last contact and is then deleted.
TRANSFER TO THIRD PARTIES
If this is necessary for the achievement of the intended purposes, the customer’s personal data will be shared with other companies within the European Economic Area that are directly or indirectly affiliated with BA N.V. or with any other partner of BA N.V.
BA N.V. guarantees that these recipients will take the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data.
MINORS
We do not store data from or provide services to persons under the age of 16.
RIGHT OF ACCESS, RECTIFICATION, ERASURE, RESTRICTION, OBJECTION AND PORTABILITY OF PERSONAL DATA
The person or data subject has the right to access their personal data at any time and can have it rectified if it is incorrect or incomplete, have it erased, have its processing restricted, and object to the processing of personal data concerning them based on Article 6.1 (e) or (f), including profiling based on those provisions. Furthermore, the person or data subject has the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format) of their personal data and to have that personal data transmitted to another company.
In order to exercise the above-mentioned rights and to allow us to verify the identity of the person exercising their rights (and thus prevent data breaches), you are requested to:
Send a registered letter, including a copy of your identity card, with the request to: BA N.V., for the attention of the Privacy Desk, MC Square, Philipssite 5 box 1, 3001 Leuven, Belgium.
