After yesterday’s Cloudflare downtime, a provider of Belgian municipal websites is now experiencing problems. Several municipal websites, including those for Kasterlee, Beerse, Oostende, etc., are down (in total, my tests show that about 80 Flemish municipal websites are inaccessible).
The problem appears to be a single LCP machine causing the error.
Could someone at this provider please look into this?
But above all, after last year’s DDOS attacks, can we really work on making this kind of infrastructure resilient to dozens of municipalities? Put it behind a CDN (preferably a European one) and build in redundancy.
